National Council of Urban League Guilds
Considered the heart and soul of the NUL movement, the GUILD plays an instrumental role in connecting the League to its communities –and raises funds that allow the League to deliver programs that pave the path to power!
Started in NYC in 1942 by Mrs. Mollie Moon, the GUILD has expanded to 85 chapters across the United States. Its current mission is to:
“Enhance and improve relations with the community and general public; develop and implement community programs and fundraising activities on behalf of the Urban League affiliate.”
The GUILD sponsors several fund-raising events annually:
- The Urban League Guild’s annual Golf Tournament
- The Urban League Guild’s Gospel Extravaganza
- The Urban League Guild’s Silent Auction & Raffle
The GUILD operates and sponsors programs in the following areas:
- Health and Wellness
- Voter Education and Registration
- Education Scholarships
- Education Workshops
- Disaster Relief
