From the President's Desk:

Recently, an exciting documentary film project gave me the opportunity to reflect on my journey, from a childhood in still-segregated Louisiana, to the New Orleans Mayor’s Office, to the Presidency of the National Urban League.

I have been grateful to have been mentored by truly great men and women -- most notably my own parents, civil rights activists and trailblazers who set the standard of responsibility and public service.  I’m proud to share a short film chronicling this journey, A Legacy of Change, and hope others will find inspiration in the events that have shaped my career and life.
